Fill your screen with any solid color: red, green, blue, warm white or an exact shade from the color picker. Use it as colored light for photos and video, to test a display, or as a plain background.

How to use the color screen

  1. Pick a swatch in the Color tab, or open the color picker for an exact shade.
  2. Set the brightness.
  3. Press F for fullscreen.

Ways to use a color screen

Colored light for photos and video
A red or blue screen beside you adds a colored rim light, the look used in music videos and gaming streams.
Display tests
Solid red, green and blue show stuck sub-pixels, uneven color and tinted corners.
Mood and party light
A spare screen in a single color tints a room. For moving color, try the Effects tab.
Plain backgrounds
Use a solid color behind a product, or as a backdrop for screenshots and video.

Color and brightness

Strong colors give much less light than white, because only one or two of each pixel's red, green and blue parts are lit. Red and blue look bold on camera but light a face poorly, so use them as accent light next to a white light in front of you.

Questions

Can I pick an exact color?

Yes. Use the color picker next to the swatches to choose any shade.

Can I share a color screen?

Yes. Open More and copy the link. It opens with the same color and brightness on any device.

How do I go fullscreen?

Press F on a keyboard, or use the fullscreen button in the bar at the bottom. Press Esc or F again to leave. On iPhone, Safari does not allow real fullscreen, so add the page to your home screen for the cleanest view.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no account, no download and no time limit. It runs in your browser and never asks for camera, microphone or location access.
