A fullscreen Pomodoro timer for focused work: 25 minutes of focus, then a 5-minute break, with a longer break after every fourth session. A soft tone marks each change and the next phase can start by itself. Every length is adjustable, and your settings are saved.

How the Pomodoro technique works

  1. Pick one task and press Start for a 25-minute focus session.
  2. Work on that task alone until the timer rings.
  3. Take the 5-minute short break. Stand up and look away from the screen.
  4. After four focus sessions, take a longer break of 15 to 30 minutes.

Make it fit how you work

Set your own focus, short break and long break lengths, and how many sessions come before a long break. 50 minutes of focus and 10 of rest suits longer, deeper work. Turn Auto-start off if you want to press Start yourself after each phase.

Keep it on a second monitor or a tablet, so the time left is always in view without a timer in your way. For a single fixed timer, use the countdown timer.

Questions

What is a Pomodoro?

One focus session, traditionally 25 minutes. The method is named after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer its inventor used.

Does it keep running in the background?

Yes. The time left also shows in the browser tab, so you can see it from another tab.

Can I skip a break?

Yes. Press Skip, or S on a keyboard, to go straight to the next phase.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no account, no download and no time limit. It runs in your browser and never asks for camera, microphone or location access.
