A fullscreen flip clock with split-flap cards that fold down every time a digit changes, like the classic retro desk clocks. Show 12 or 24-hour time, seconds and the date, pick a color, and use night mode in the dark. Free, in your browser, nothing to install.

How to use the flip clock

  1. Open the page on the screen you want to use as a clock: a monitor, an old tablet, a laptop or a smart TV.
  2. Choose 12h or 24h and whether to show seconds. Without seconds, the cards get bigger.
  3. Press F or the fullscreen button, then leave the mouse still so the controls fade away.
  4. To dim it at night, switch on Night mode.

Turn an old tablet into a flip clock

An old iPad or Android tablet makes a good desk clock. Open this page, turn auto-lock off in the settings, and plug it in. On iPhone and iPad, Safari does not allow real fullscreen, so use Share, then Add to Home Screen and open it from there for the cleanest view.

Want a plain, larger clock instead? Try the fullscreen digital clock or a classic analog clock.

Questions

Does the flip clock work offline?

Once the page has loaded, the clock keeps running without a connection.

Can I hide the seconds?

Yes. Turn off Seconds in the controls and the hours and minutes cards grow to fill the screen.

Can I change the color?

Yes. Pick any color for the digits; the cards stay dark so it reads well from across a room.

How do I go fullscreen?

Press F on a keyboard, or use the fullscreen button in the bar at the bottom. Press Esc or F again to leave. On iPhone, Safari does not allow real fullscreen, so add the page to your home screen for the cleanest view.
