A solid chroma key green screen in fullscreen. Use it as a small green screen for keying out a background, as a green accent light, or to check your display for stuck pixels.

How to use the green screen

  1. Press F or the fullscreen button.
  2. Place the screen behind your subject or the object you are filming, and light the subject separately.
  3. In your video editor or streaming app, key out the green.

Ways to use a green screen

Keying small objects
A monitor or tablet makes a clean green backdrop for products, hands or miniatures.
Head-and-shoulders shots
A large monitor or TV behind you can cover the frame for a webcam shot.
Green accent light
Placed beside you, green gives a strong colored rim light.
Stuck pixel test
A sub-pixel that is stuck off shows as a dark dot on green. Check the red and blue screens too.

Tips for a clean key

Keep the subject a little way in front of the screen, so green light does not spill onto it. Turn the screen brightness down until it looks evenly green on camera rather than bright and washed out, and avoid green clothes.

Questions

Which green is this?

It is a standard chroma key green (#00B140). You can pick any other green in the Color tab.

Can I use a monitor as a green screen?

For small objects and close-up webcam shots, yes. For full-body shots you need a larger fabric or painted backdrop.

How do I go fullscreen?

Press F on a keyboard, or use the fullscreen button in the bar at the bottom. Press Esc or F again to leave. On iPhone, Safari does not allow real fullscreen, so add the page to your home screen for the cleanest view.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no account, no download and no time limit. It runs in your browser and never asks for camera, microphone or location access.
